Welcome!

Hope Church exists to be a multi-generational community of Christ followers characterized by Worship, Community, and Mission.

Worship

We believe God has met us through the incarnation of Jesus and the reconciliation of all things through his atoning death, resurrection, and ascension, and we believe in the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for the ministry to which we’ve been called.

This therefore necessarily leads our hearts to worship the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We desperately desire to be known for our fervent worship!

Community

We believe that we have been called together to live as the family of God in the city of Charleston. Because of this, we practice radical hospitality toward one another and to those who’ve yet to become a part of our family.

Mission

We believe God has sent us as missionaries to our culture. Therefore we seek to develop our hearts to be resilient disciples and heralds of God’s Kingdom come! We do this in three primary ways;

  1. Relational Evangelism

  2. Reaching our Children and Youth

  3. Church Planting

What does it mean to be an Anglican Church?

As Anglicans, we are part of the Anglican Church in North America through the Diocese of Christ Our Hope. We are connected to the Anglican Communion worldwide, the third largest Christian communion in the world with 85 million members worldwide in 165 countries. Like other Christian traditions and denominations, we are deeply rooted and united in the Christian faith of the One Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our common worship is both rooted and relevant, drawing us fully into God’s presence through Word, Sacrament, and the Holy Spirit. Our worship is liturgical, timeless, and adaptable. It opens the door to deep personal transformation for all who participate with hearts open to God. Our services mirror the worship of the ancient apostolic church while incorporating the common language and culture of the communities in which they are practiced.
