Hope Church is a church plant. If you're not familiar with this language, we are in the early phases of starting a brand new church in Charleston. We fully acknowledge that there are other churches doing great work in our city, but we also know that there are far too many people who have lost hope and need to be encountered by the good news of Jesus that is absolutely filled with the Hope that we all desire.

We are also convinced that the best way to be transformed into the image of Christ is through Bible-centered liturgical worship. This has fallen out of fashion to some degree, but has been forming Christlike believers for nearly 2000 years. This in no way means that we should throw out all of the wonderful things that the modern church has offered us. In practice this looks like a blend of Ancient liturgy with a mix of hymns and modern worship music. We find that this blend of ancient/modern worship is so rich that we couldn't help but want to share it with the people of Charleston, WV.

Right now we have begun to gather for weekly worship. We meet at 300 20th St. SE., Charleston, WV 25304, at 9:30am! If you'd like to talk more about that, please feel free to reach out to our pastor, Derek at derek@hopecharleston.org.

We are affiliated with The Anglican Church in North America and The Diocese of Christ Our Hope.
